The Free Town Trust
The Free Town Trust is a UK-registered charity, set up in 2006 to support children and young people in Kenya which expanded into Sri Lanka in 2017.

Sarah Parry, a member of our committee, is the CEO, and has developed close links with Karuna Sri Lanka Inc. The Free Town Trust has been raising funds, making donations and working in partnership with us to ensure the best possible results are achieved for those we all support.
In November 2023 Sarah and husband Ian joined some of the Karuna committee in a visit to Sri Lanka where both charities were able to work together, meet existing and potential beneficiaries, give much needed donations and make practical plans for the future of both organisations.
Restaurant Pied a Terre
One of our committee members, Valerie Woods, and her husband David Moore are the owners of Restaurant Pied a Terre, located in London. Karuna Sri Lanka is lucky enough to be their chosen charity, we receive £2 from every guest's bill. This initiative is personally championed by David and Valerie, reflecting their deep commitment to creating lasting change and empowering young Sri Lankan women through education.

"Beyond the kitchen, our values extend into the wider world. Our donations go directly to supporting children and young women in Sri Lanka. Our contribution is focused on funding education and independence training, helping to create brighter futures and greater opportunities."
